Taiwan International Health Action (TaiwanIHA) held a training course on civilian-military coordination during foreign disaster response at the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) and invited Ms. René Van Slate, Senior Humanitarian Assistance Advisor for USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance, as the speaker.
Over 85 participants attending this informative and inspiring course included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, National Fire Agency, Department of Medical Affairs, Hospital and Social Welfare Organizations Administration Commission, Centers for Disease Control, affiliated hospitals, and non-governmental organizations like Taiwan Red Cross, Taiwan Root, Tzu Chi Foundation, and World Vision Taiwan.
